Quick Help
Browse the guides below for common TenderToLive setup and workflow questions.
-
Press + Add Project to create a new project.
Fill out the project card with the information your team wants to track, such as project name, client, value, stage, dates, owner, location, priority and confidence.
Helpful shortcuts:
• Double click a project to reopen and update the project card
• Right click a project for quick actions, including stage updates
• Click and drag projects if you want to manually adjust row order
Project ID numbers are created automatically. Teams can also use the Ref column for their own internal project or tender numbers.Projects will appear in different saved views depending on the filters applied to each view.
For example, a project marked as Submitted may appear in a Conversion Watch view, while a project marked as Live may appear in a Live Projects or Workload view.
-
TenderToLive is built around saved views.
Use the menu button beside the TenderToLive logo to open or collapse the views panel.
Saved views help your team quickly switch between different ways of looking at the same project data, such as Forecast, Live Projects, Workload, Conversion Watch, Team Actions or individual team member views.
Saved views are controlled by columns, filters, sorting and timescale.
If you are setting up saved views for the first time, review Columns, Filters and Sorting below, as these control what each saved view shows.
You can safely test filters, sorting and layouts while using the app. A saved view will return to its original saved setup when you move away from the view or reopen the app, unless you choose to save the changes.
To save a new view, adjust the view to suit your needs, press the three vertical dots in the top right, then select Save as view.
From the same menu, you can also manage, rename, delete and reorder saved views.
-
Use Columns to control what information is shown in each view.
You can:
• Show or hide columns
• Drag columns into a new order
• Add hidden columns from the hidden columns dropdown
• Keep different columns visible for different saved viewsThis is useful because not every view needs the same information.
For example, a Forecast view may focus on project name, stage, client, value, start date and end date.
A Team Actions view may focus on owner, next action, priority, stage and client.
Some columns include extra functionality. For example, the Qty column allows a number and metric to be entered, such as m², m³, t or another project-specific unit. This can help teams compare project scale, workload or key quantities across the pipeline.
Once the columns are arranged how you want, save the view if you want that layout to remain available.
Layout tip: If a newly added column does not appear straight away, or the table feels compressed, drag the grey divider between the table and timeline to create more space for the column area.
-
Use Filters to control which projects appear in a view.
Press + Add Filter and choose the field you want to filter by.
Common filters include:
• Stage
• Client
• Location
• Owner
• Priority
• Value
• Confidence
• Start Date
• End Date
• Next ActionSome filters use text conditions, such as client or location. Others use ranges, such as value, confidence or complete percentage.
Stage filters are especially useful for creating views such as Pipeline, Submitted and Preferred, Live Projects, Workload and Conversion Watch.
Filters are one of the main ways TenderToLive turns one project register into multiple useful working views.
-
Use Sort to control the order projects appear in.
Choose a column, then select ascending or descending order.
You can sort by fields such as:
• Stage
• Value
• Start Date
• End Date
• Bid Due
• Confidence
• Priority
• Updated
• Next ActionYou can also quickly sort some columns by clicking the column heading.
A useful example is sorting by Conf to see which projects have the highest confidence of being awarded.
If you want the sort order to remain part of a saved view, save the view again after making the change.
-
Use the three vertical dots in the top right to change the Gantt timescale.
Available timescales include:
• Days
• Months
• YearsThis is useful because different teams forecast at different levels.
For example, estimating teams may prefer shorter timeframes, while directors or management may prefer a longer-term view.
The selected timescale can be saved as part of a saved view.
You can also use the zoom control on the main screen to adjust how much of the timeline is visible.
Dark mode can be turned on using the moon icon on the main screen.
